2022 Maximum Broker Commissions Announced

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released the commission amounts that companies may pay to agents and brokers who sell Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans for 2022. For Medicare Advantage Plans the initial commissions have increased by 6.3%. For Prescription Drug Plans the initial commissions have increased by 7.4%.

Manhattan Life Medicare Supplement

Manhattan Life Assurance Company (MAC) was introduced to Virginia, which means ManhattanLife (MLIC) will be discontinued in the state. Any Virginia paper application with a signature date of June 20th or earlier must be received by Manhattan Life’s home office by June 27, 2021 in order to be processed. Any applications not meeting that criteria will be returned.

Online application for MLIC will be pulled effective June 21, 2021.
