Aetna Medicare Supplements
Medicare Supplement Rate Increase in Multiple States

Several states will have a rate increase effective August 1, 2021 including Arkansas, Colorado, Nebraska, and West Virginia. According to Aetna’s guidelines, if the application signature date is on or after July 1, 2021, then the new rates will be applied. Medico Insurance Company

Medico Medicare Supplement Rate Increase in Multiple States

Rate adjustments are being made for Medico’s Medicare Supplement plans in Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, North Carolina, and Utah. These rate adjustments will be implemented for renewals and new issues with an application date of August 1, 2021. Applications dated before August 1, 2021, will use the previous rates, even if the policy has a future effective date.

Mutual of Omaha Supplemental Plans

Mutual of Omaha Rate Increase for Medicare Supplement Plans in Michigan

Effective August 1, 2021, Mutual of Omaha’s subsidiary, United World, will have a rate adjustment on their new and in-force business in Michigan.

Michigan will have a 12% rate increase on Plan G. There will also be a 6% increase on Plan N.

Letters will be mailed to the insured United World policyholder about this increase.

New rates will be available on Mutual of Omaha’s agent portal in the coming weeks.

Mutual of Omaha Supplemental Plans

Mutual of Omaha Rate Increase for Medicare Supplement Plans in Rhode Island

Effective July 1, 2021, Mutual of Omaha will have a rate adjustment on their new and in-force business in Rhode Island.

Rhode Island will have a 5% rate increase on Plans D, F, & N and a 5.5% increase on Plans High F & High G.

Plan G will only be having a 2% increase. 

Letters will be mailed to the insured Omaha Insurance policyholder about this increase.

New rates will be available on Mutual of Omaha’s agent portal in the coming weeks.

Medicare Supplement Rate Adjustment in Maryland

Attention insurance agents! There will be a Medicare Supplement rate increases for Cigna Health and Life effective July 1, 2021. The updated Medicare Supplement rates will be available through Cigna’s online agent portal. If the new rates are not available yet, they will be in the coming weeks.

Starting July 1, 2021, Cigna Health and Life will have a rate increase in Maryland

There will be a 13% increase on Plans A, F, and G.  Good news! No rate increases for High Deductible F and Plan N.

Medicare Supplement Rate Increase in Maryland and West Virginia

Heartland National Life Insurance Company Medicare Supplements have been approved for a rate increase in Maryland and West Virginia. Rate changes will be effective June 1, 2021. Maryland will have a 3% increase on Plans A, C, G and N. West Virginia will have a 3% increase on Plans A and G. There will be no increase for Plan N in West Virginia.
