Medicare Supplement Rate Increase in Missouri

Effective July 1, 2021, both Accendo Life Insurance Company (CVS Health) and Aetna Health and Life Insurance Company Medicare Supplements will have a rate increase in Missouri. According to Aetna’s guidelines if the application signature date is on or after June 1, 2021, then the new rates will be applied. Accendo Life (CVS Health) (effective 7/1/2021)

  • Plan A – 3% Increase
  • Plan F –  3% Increase
  • Plan G – 3% Increase
  • Plan N – 3% Increase

Aetna Health (effective 7/1/2021)

  • Plan A – 5% Increase
  • Plan B – 5% Increase
  • Plan F –  5% Increase
  • Plan G – 5% Increase
  • Plan N – 5% Increase

Medicare Supplement Rate Adjustment in Kentucky, North Dakota, Maryland, and Maine

Attention insurance agents! There will be a couple of Medicare Supplement rate increases for a few of Cigna’s subsidiaries effective in June and July. Most rates are available through Cigna’s online agent portal. If the new rates are not available yet, they will be in the coming weeks.

Starting June 1, 2021, American Retirement Life Insurance Company will have a rate increase in Kentucky.

There will be a 13% increase on Plans A, F, and N and a 8.5% increase on Plan G.

 

Starting June 1, 2021, Loyal American Life Insurance Company will have a rate increase in Maine

There will be a 7.5% increase on Plans A, F, G, and N

 

Starting July 1, 2021, American Retirement Life Insurance Company will have a rate increase in North Dakota

There will be a 9% increase on Plans A, F, G, and N

 

Starting July 1, 2021, Cigna Health and Life will have a rate increase in Maryland

New Cigna Medicare Supplements Are Now Available

A new Medicare Supplement is now available in Louisiana, Michigan, and South Dakota! Cigna National Health Insurance Company (CNHIC) is the newer A rated carrier released from Cigna. Even better, this Medicare Supplement provides (up to) a 15% household discount if both members of the household are policyholders. If you are already appointed with Cigna, then you have access to the new business and marketing forms through the agent portal. Mutual of Omaha Supplemental Plans

Mutual of Omaha Rate Increase for Medicare Supplement Plans in Connecticut and North Dakota

Both Connecticut and North Dakota will have a rate adjustment on their Omaha Insurance plans effective July 1, 2021 for new and in-force policies.

Connecticut will have a 6.75% rate increase on Plans A, F and N

North Dakota will have a 6.75% on Plan A and N and 12% Increase on Plan F and G

Letters will be mailed to the insured Omaha Insurance policyholder about this increase.

New rates will be available on Mutual of Omaha’s agent portal in the coming weeks.

Mutual of Omaha Supplemental Plans

Mutual of Omaha Supplemental Products Available in California, North Dakota, and Illinois

Insurance agents can start selling Mutual of Omaha’s new competitively priced Medicare Supplement plans in the following states:

  • California – United World Life Insurance Company
  • Illinois – Omaha Insurance Company
  • North Dakota – Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company

These New Medicare Supplement plans features:

  • Plan A, G, High Deductible G, and N
    • **Plan F is available but only to applicants who were Medicare-eligible before January 1, 2021**
  • A 12% household discount in California and Illinois and a 10% household discount in North Dakota
  • Anniversary rating with a 12 month rate guarantee!

All plans will be available May 25, 2021. With this new availability, the old underwriting company for each state and their eApplication will no longer be available.

New business and marketing material can be found on SPA in Forms and Materials. Supplies can also be ordered through the normal Mutual of Omaha Channels.
