Policy Delivery Update
To support ongoing social distancing guidelines, Aetna will continue to mail policies directly to policyholders until further notice. They will re-evaluate this temporary process change at the end of the first quarter of 2021.
The “Mail to Agent” option on Aetna Quote & Enroll will remain temporarily suspended. If “Mail to Agent” is selected on paper applications, it will be automatically be changed to “Mail to Policyholder.”
To help your clients receive their policy even faster, Aetna encourages their agents to select the electronic policy delivery option with every application. If they choose this option, they will still receive a physical ID card in the mail.
